Favorite ride: Test Track. It's a ride that lets you team up with someone to build a car, which is then tested thrill-ride style. They test for capability (handling), responsiveness (maneuverability), efficiency (fuel-saving and environmentally friendly) and power (speed) in the car that you earlier designed. Admittedly, I think a large part of the reason I loved this ride was because the car that my mom and I built scored higher than anyone else, including my dad and brother. Ha!
Favorite show: Fantasmic: A show with water effects, pyrotechnics and mist screen projections that showcases not only the main Disney characters, but also the main Disney villains. We used a fast pass on this, which let's us sit closer than most attendees, and it was SO worth it.
Favorite souvenir: A bottle of Once Upon a Vine wine. Not going to lie, it looked way better than it tasted.
Favorite food: To conserve money, my family usually packs light snacks to enjoy throughout the day, rather than spending money on meals in the park. With that being said, we all vote on one restaurant to splurge on each vacation. This year, it was Yak and Yeti. It was delicious Asian food, and for dessert I had a pineapple, ice cream, cheese wonton concoction that was TO DIE FOR.
Wizarding World of Harry Potter
Favorite ride: Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey. There are actually two parts to this ride. First, you get to walk through the Hogwarts castle, which showcases rooms from the books, such as Dumbledore's office, and the Defense Against the Dark Arts class room. Then you go on the actual ride, which is a simulator that makes you feel like you're riding your broom through the grounds of Hogwarts. It's my favorite ride of all time, from any amusement park.
Favorite food/drink: Butterbeer. Duh.
Favorite souvenir: Puking Pastilles and Nosebleed Nougats from Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes!
Favorite moments: Riding the Hogwart's Express, and walking down Diagon Alley. Did I mention the fire breathing dragon?
